Job Description Summary
The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing the company's integrated marketing strategy across both the OTC and RX business portfolios. The role drives sustainable growth, market leadership, brand equity, and customer engagement by leading a high-performing marketing organization and ensuring alignment with commercial objectives, regulatory requirements, and patient-centric strategies.The Marketing Manager will lead a team of brand managers and work closely with Sales, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, and global/regional stakeholders to maximize portfolio performance and business impact.
Job Description
Major Accountabilities
Define and implement the overall marketing strategy for the OTC and RX portfolios in line with company objectives.
Develop short-, medium-, and long-term business plans to drive revenue growth, profitability, and market share.
Identify market trends, customer insights, competitive dynamics, and emerging opportunities to support strategic decision-making.
Lead portfolio prioritization, lifecycle management, and new product launch strategies.
Ensure alignment between marketing initiatives and broader commercial objectives.
Lead consumer-focused marketing strategies across OTC brands. Drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and market penetration through integrated omnichannel campaigns. Oversee media strategy, digital marketing, consumer engagement, and retail activation activities.
Monitor category performance and adapt strategies to maximize growth and profitability.
Lead HCP-focused marketing strategies for prescription products. Develop impactful customer engagement programs targeting physicians, pharmacists, healthcare institutions, and other key stakeholders.
Ensure all marketing activities comply with pharmaceutical industry regulations and ethical standards.
Collaborate closely with Medical Affairs and Market Access teams to optimize product positioning and customer value propositions.
Lead, coach, and develop the marketing team of fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance.
Build organizational capabilities and succession plans within the marketing organization.
Set clear objectives, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
Attract, retain, and develop top marketing talent.
Partner with Regional Sales Managers to ensure strong alignment between marketing strategies and field execution.
Drive customer-centric planning and omnichannel excellence.
Establish KPIs and performance metrics to evaluate marketing effectiveness and return on investment.
Monitor business performance and implement corrective actions where needed.
Develop and manage annual marketing budgets across both OTC and RX portfolios.
Optimize resource allocation to maximize business impact and efficiency.
Ensure effective agency management and vendor partnerships.
Work closely with Medical, Regulatory, Market Access, Supply Chain, Finance, Trade and Business operation teams.
Serve as a key member of the Retail Team.
Collaborate with regional and global stakeholders to ensure alignment and adoption of best practices.
Reporting of technical complaints / adverse events / special case scenarios related to SANDOZ products within 24 hours of receipt

Education and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or related field.
MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Languages
Hungarian – native/fluent
English - fluent
Experience
Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical and/or consumer healthcare marketing.
Proven success managing both OTC and RX product portfolios.
Significant people leadership experience, including management of multiple direct reports.
Strong track record in brand management, portfolio strategy, product launches, and commercial execution.
Experience working in a matrix organization and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Experience managing significant marketing budgets and external agencie

Compensation Structure & Criteria:
Sandoz compensation is determined by job level, qualifications, niche skills, experience, and location within company salary ranges. Fully proficient and highly effective employees can expect a starting salary around market median, with those new to the level or with less functional depth at the lower end of the range and those with sustained superior or niche skills towards the higher end of the range. Internal equity and external market data inform our range placement. Annual salary reviews consider performance outcomes, market alignment, and business needs.
Job location: Budapest, Hungary
Starting monthly pay range: 1.544.025 - 2.867.475 HUF gross
Complimentary compensation: 500.000 HUF gross cafeteria per year
Variable compensation: Short term incentive
