The Marketplace Planner for The Knot Registry Store (TKRS) is responsible for developing planning tools to drive sales and profit goals for the eCommerce Registry Marketplace. Reporting to the Director of Business Analytics, this role translates historical trends and performance metrics into actionable forecasts and root-cause analysis. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Business Development, and Operations to ensure high-fidelity demand planning and business tracking.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build and maintain sales and revenue forecasts for TKRS by category, seller, and product type using historical performance, market trends, seasonality, and business initiatives.
  • Monitor daily, weekly and monthly marketplace performance, analyzing key metrics (Registered GMV, revenue, margin, sell-through, registry creates, Average Order Value) to identify risks, opportunities, and drivers of performance.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis and develop actionable recommendations to improve business results and support quarterly forecasting cycles.
  • Create and maintain dashboards, reporting tools, and planning models using Mirakl, Qlik, Preset, and other analytics platforms to support business decision-making.
  • Partner with Merchandising, Business Development, Product, and Operations to analyze seller, category, and event cohort performance and support marketplace growth initiatives.
  • Measure the impact of business initiatives, including promotions, seller launches, merchandising strategies, and partner programs, including incremental revenue and commission opportunities.
  • Support seller-level planning and forecasting to inform annual PO planning, operational readiness, and marketplace optimization.
  • Prepare and present regular business updates that summarize performance trends, key insights, risks, and opportunities for cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Support ad hoc strategic projects including new partner evaluations, content-driven site experiences, and marketplace initiatives

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES HAVE:

  • 1-3 years of experience in Demand Planning, Merchandise Planning, or Business Analytics within an eCommerce environment
  • Strong understanding of retail and eCommerce metrics, including sales, conversion, AOV, margin, and inventory and marketplace performance drivers.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience navigating large datasets using various data warehouse programs.
  • Detail-oriented with a proven ability to manage and complete multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, capable of translating complex data into actionable narratives for stakeholders
  • A proactive, collaborative mindset with a focus on impact and establishing trust across cross-functional partnerships

WORK MODEL:

This role is fully remote and not tied to any specific office location. While there are no regular in-office requirements, we encourage our remote team members to gather intentionally for key company and team events to stay connected and engaged.

Starting pay is determined based on a combination of factors which may include location/market, education, experience, skills, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, commissions, equity or sales incentives, if applicable. We also offer benefits to eligible employees including medical, dental, retirement, and generous leave policies.
