MarketWatch Analyst

As a MarketWatch Analyst you'll play a critical role in protecting the integrity of equity markets — monitoring trading activity in real time, identifying potential risks, and ensuring our markets operate fairly and transparently.

Key Responsibilities
Monitor equity trading activity in real time, identifying unusual price movements, suspicious patterns, and order book anomalies.
Review automated surveillance alerts and material disclosures from listed companies, escalating issues to the appropriate teams when needed.
Intervene in trading activity when required, including managing trade breaks and trading suspensions.
Draft preliminary referrals for suspected market abuse or disciplinary matters, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Partner with the broader team to fulfill regulatory responsibilities and contribute to special projects that strengthen market oversight.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
1–3 years of experience in market surveillance, compliance, trading operations, or a related area.
Strong understanding of equity markets and trading mechanisms.
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a regulated financial services or fintech environment.
Familiarity with surveillance platforms or market data tools.
Exposure to cross-functional teams in global or multicultural settings.
This position will be located in Philadelphia and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office, subject to change, providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.
