We are seeking an experienced Mason for a full-time, permanent opportunity with an established contractor specializing in historic restoration and preservation projects throughout Connecticut and New England.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled mason who takes pride in quality craftsmanship and wants to work on unique historic and architecturally significant buildings.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Perform brick, block, and stone masonry work
- Repair and restore existing historic masonry
- Repoint brick and stone using appropriate techniques
- Remove and replace deteriorated masonry materials
- Match existing brick, stone, mortar, and finishes
- Perform masonry repairs on walls, foundations, chimneys, facades, and other structures
- Mix and apply mortar while maintaining proper joint profiles
- Work carefully around existing historic materials and architectural features
- Complete both interior and exterior masonry restoration
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of professional masonry experience preferred
- Strong experience with brick, block, stone, and mortar
- Experience with restoration, repointing, or historic masonry is highly preferred
- Ability to match existing masonry and produce clean, detailed work
- Knowledge of traditional masonry techniques is a plus
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a crew
- OSHA 10 preferred
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to project sites as needed

- Pay: $30–$40/hour, based on experience
