Materials Coordinator - Weekend Shift

Position Summary:
The Materials Coordinator is responsible for ensuring materials are properly prepared, organized, and available for production operations. This role supports efficient material flow by de-trashing products, maintaining cleanliness and organization within the market area, preparing materials for production lines, and assisting Material Handlers as needed. The Materials Coordinator also supports waste management efforts by disposing of cardboard and trash in designated compactors.
 

This role will consist of three - 12-hour shifts. (Friday, Saturday and Sunday).

Key Responsibilities:

  • De-trash products in the market area prior to delivery to production lines.
  • Prepare and organize materials to ensure they are production ready.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized market area to support operational efficiency.
  • Stage and prepare products for transportation to production lines.
  • Assist Material Handlers with material movement and related duties during available downtime.
  • Remove and dispose of cardboard, packaging materials, and general waste using designated compactors.
  • Monitor work areas for housekeeping concerns and proactively address cleanliness issues.
  • Support inventory organization and material flow processes as directed.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, quality standards, and operational guidelines.
  • Communicate material shortages, damaged products, or workplace concerns to supervisors.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull materials as required.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing operations. Physical Requirements
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift and move materials in accordance with company safety guidelines.
  • Ability to work around manufacturing equipment and material handling equipment.
  • Frequent handling of cardboard, packaging materials, and production materials.


Success Factors:

  • Maintains a clean and organized market area.
  • Ensure materials are properly de-trashed and production ready.
  • Supports continuous material flow to production lines.
  • Demonstrate teamwork by assisting Material Handlers and other departments as needed.
  • Consistently follows safety and housekeeping standards.

Pay Transparency
 
nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
 
Compensation Range:

$17.20 - $31.90 Per Hour

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
