At PwC, our people in managed services focus on a variety of outsourced solutions and support clients across numerous functions. These individuals help organizations streamline their operations, reduce costs, and improve efficiency by managing key processes and functions on their behalf. They are skilled in project management, technology, and process optimization to deliver high-quality services to clients.  

Those in managed service management and strategy at PwC will focus on transitioning and running services, along with managing delivery teams, programmes, commercials, performance and delivery risk. Your work will involve the process of continuous improvement and optimizing of the managed services process, tools and services. 

 

Meaningful work you’ll be part of   

As a Finance Managed Services Summer Intern, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:  

  • Use a broad range of tools, methodologies and techniques to generate new ideas and solve problems  

  • Use critical thinking to break down complex concepts  

  • Use reflection to develop self-awareness, enhance strengths, and address development areas.   

  • Performing your work efficiently while meeting established timelines and budgets. 

  • Building and maintaining collaborative relationships with internal teams and clients. 

  • Respond effectively to the diverse perspectives, needs, and feelings of others  

  • Uphold and reinforce professional and technical standards (e.g. refer to specific PwC guidance), the Firm's code of conduct, and independence requirements  

 

Experiences and skills you’ll use to solve: 

  • Enrolled in post-secondary education and working to obtain the Canadian CPA required prerequisite courses 

  • Demonstrate a self-starter mindset by proactively identifying opportunities, taking ownership of tasks, while showing flexibility and adaptability to handle ambiguity in a fast-paced environment  

  • Approach projects with a detail-oriented mindset, ensuring accuracy and completeness throughout all stages of the process  

  • Demonstrate coachability by actively seeking feedback, embracing growth opportunities, and pursuing continuous development  

  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, clear communication, and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams. 

  • Knowledge of end-to-end accounting process   

  • Comfort with research, analysis, and synthesizing information from multiple sources. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and willingness to learn additional tools or platforms. 

  • A growth mindset and a strong desire to continuously develop new skills. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team. 

  • Strong prioritization and problem‑solving skills.
