About this role
Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical faults in heavy trucks and commercial vehicles. Perform maintenance and repair of diesel engines, gearboxes, clutches, differentials, and drive systems. Diagnose and repair air brake, hydraulic brake, steering, and suspension systems. Carry out preventive and scheduled maintenance according to manufacturer requirements. Repair or replace damaged engine components, belts, hoses, bearings, filters, and seals. Conduct engine overhauling and major mechanical repairs when required. Troubleshoot overheating, oil leakage, abnormal noise, vibration, and performance issues. Inspect and maintain fuel injection, cooling, lubrication, and exhaust systems. Use diagnostic tools and workshop equipment to identify mechanical problems. Conduct road tests and final inspections after completing repairs. Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, spare parts, and inspection findings. Report major defects and spare-part requirements to the supervisor. Follow workshop safety procedures and maintain tools and equipment properly. Keep the workshop clean, organized, and safe. Requirements ITI, Diploma, or technical certification in Automobile Engineering, Diesel Mechanics, or a related field. Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Truck or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic. Strong experience working with heavy trucks, trailers, buses, or commercial vehicles. Good knowledge of diesel engines, transmission, clutch, braking, suspension, and steering systems. Experience in engine overhauling and major mechanical repairs. Ability to read technical manuals and understand mechanical drawings. Ability to use diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and workshop machinery. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Basic communication skills in English. Duration: 2 Months (Extendable)
