Leidos’ Defense Systems Mechanical Design & Analysis Department is seeking a mechanical design engineer to join our team in Huntsville Alabama designing the next generation of radars to protect America and its allies. You will lead an Integrate Product Team (IPT) as they develop the Low Band Surveillance (LBS) product.
You will direct the technical work of a team of engineers, ensuring their work meets program requirements, schedule milestones, and budget constraints. Technical depth and understanding of execution are essential to coordinate between subsystem leads and ensure alignment across the team.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
12+ years of applicable experience or 10+ years with MS degree.
Experience leading a team of engineers to develop solutions that meet technical, cost, and schedule requirements
Strong SolidWorks user
Strong desire to lead, guide, and mentor
Active secret security clearance or ability to obtain and maintain secret security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
Windchill PLM experience
Design and/or Integration experience in the following areas:
- Mobile equipment
-Tactical trailers
-Radar Systems
-Mechanism Design
-Design for Manufacturability
