Current Clinic Hours:

Monday: 9am-7pm

Tuesday: 9am-530pm

Wednesday: 8am- 430pm

Thursday: 9am-7pm

Friday: 9am - 530pm

Saturday: 9am to noon

Staff Clinical Hours:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday: 900am-530pm

Wednesday: 8am-430pm

Saturdays: 9am-12 pm on rotation

Evenings until 7-730pm: Monday & Thursday. Each teammate is asked to work one evening every week.

Nesset Family Medicine Clinic is a residency clinic. Family Medicine is a three-year residency program. We have 11 Faculty members and 27 Residents.  We see patients of all ages, from the pediatric to the geriatric population.  It is a great place to learn and grow in the Advocate Health System.

Pay Range:

$22.90 - $34.35

We’re Looking For: 

  • High School Diploma or GED required.   

  • Must have a medical assistant diploma or 2 years of medical assistant experience or be a certified MA with 2 years of medical assistant experience, to qualify. 

  • Phlebotomy skills are preferred.

Tuesday: 9am-530pm

Wednesday: 8am- 430pm

Friday: 9am - 530pm

As a Medical Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in the care team – supporting providers, connecting with patients, and helping ensure a seamless, compassionate experience every day.   

As a key member of the ambulatory care team, you will:  

  • Welcome patients and support their transition into care.  

  • Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.  

  • Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.  

  • Administer medications and vaccines as directed.  

  • Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.  

  • Document care accurately in the electronic health record.  

  • Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions 

  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently throughout the workday.  

  • Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.  

  • Must be able to: push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.  

  • Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch with ability to use fine hand manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures/functions.  

  • Maneuver foot pedals on carts or machines.  

  • Perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de-escalation, if needed.  

  • May be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste as well as blood and body fluids and communicable disease. Therefore, protective clothing and equipment must be worn as necessary.  

  • Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.  

  • Physical Abilities Testing may be required.  

  • Additional department specific physical requirements may be identified for unique responsibilities within the department by the nurse leader.
