Medical Director - Cardiology & Obesity (FSP -Sponsor Dedicated)

As a Medical Director at ICON, you will drive medical initiatives within project teams, guiding strategic direction and decision-making processes, and offer expert medical and scientific guidance, leveraging therapeutic expertise to inform project development.

What You Will Do:

You will lead medical affairs delivery across your portfolio, setting standards and developing your team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing strategic medical leadership and guidance on project teams.
  • Offering expert medical and scientific consultation throughout project lifecycles.
  • Ensuring compliance with ethical, legal, and regulatory standards in medical and safety monitoring activities.
  • Representing the Medical Affairs Department in business development initiatives.
  • Providing operational oversight within the Medical Affairs Department as needed.

Your Profile:

You will bring significant medical affairs experience, with a track record of building high-performing teams and delivering results.

Required qualifications and experience:

  • Medical degree (MD or equivalent), with specialization in a relevant therapeutic area preferred.

  • Experience in cardiovascular outcomes trials or obesity/GLP-1 studies.

  • Proven track record of medical leadership and consultation within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.

  • Advanced proficiency in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.

  • Based in Argentina, Brazil, or Mexico.

  • 100% remote position.
