The OSC Operations Service Center Specialist is responsible for scheduling, preparing, and ensuring the timely delivery of instrument and implant sets for surgical procedures. This role maintains accurate records of products as they move through the territory, ensuring inventory accuracy, billing integrity, and product availability. Success in this position requires strong attention to detail, effective organizational skills, and a working knowledge of company products, systems, and operational procedures.

What will you be doing?

Surgery Case Coordination

  • Utilize OSC Operations Service Center software applications and related systems to schedule and prepare instrument and implant kits for surgical cases, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.

  • Maintain and manage scheduled surgery cases on a daily basis.

  • Process required order entry activities as directed.

Inventory & Asset Management

  • Maintain accurate and complete OSC Bills of Material (BOMs) for instrument and implant kits.

  • Manage appropriate inventory levels for shelf stock and OSC kits.

  • Ensure First-In/First-Out (FIFO) inventory practices are followed.

  • Monitor inventory to prevent expired products from remaining in warehouse locations.

  • Perform OSC Kit Reviews and inventory assessments to support sales requirements using established OSC operational checklists.

  • Assist with physical inventory counts and field cycle counts, ensuring inventory preparation activities are completed accurately.

Logistics & Reporting

  • Coordinate Mobile OSC and shipment schedules daily, ensuring the most cost-effective transportation methods are utilized.

  • Conduct daily and periodic freight reviews for FedEx, courier services, and other shipping methods to verify accuracy and cost effectiveness.

  • Generate and maintain required OSC reports related to utilization, accuracy, validation, and performance metrics.

  • Utilize established OSC daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly checklists to ensure operational compliance and consistency.

  • Support Regional Loaner Bank Operations when required.

Customer & Operational Support

  • Provide on-call support as required.

  • Assist in the coordination of loaner activity within the Operations Service Center.

  • Partner with senior OSC personnel and supervisors to support operational goals and customer needs.

  • Maintain a high level of accountability for missing products and inventory discrepancies to ensure proper billing and customer service.

What will you need to be successful?

Education

  • Associate's degree in Operations, Business, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Distribution, or a related field and at least 2 years of relevant experience, OR

  • High school diploma or equivalent and at least 4 years of relevant experience in operations, distribution, logistics, inventory management, customer service, or a related field.

Experience

  • Experience supporting logistics, distribution, inventory management, supply chain, customer service, or warehouse operations.

  • Experience coordinating multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience with inventory control processes and inventory accuracy initiatives preferred.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.

  • Basic PC and workstation operation skills.

  • Ability to learn and effectively utilize company software systems and inventory management tools.

Other Requirements

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to participate in an on-call support schedule as required.
