Job Description

1. Extensive technical knowledge and experience in database management techniques including physical database optimization, database performance monitoring, backup and recovery. 
2. Experience of managing high transaction databases in clustered environment is preferable. 
3. Should have knowledge of basic ITIL fundamentals and certification would be preferred. 
4. Support Microsoft SQL Server 2008/2012/2014/2016/2017/2019/2022/2025 databases, SSIS and SSRS and SSAS Services.  
5. Implement and support Microsoft Clustering Services, Always On and Log shipping, replication 
6. Knowledge of SQL Server tools (Profiler, SSMS, PerfMon, DMVs, system sprocs). 
7. Experience of handling priority incidents 
8. Experience of backup tools like – CommVault, litespeed  
9. Experience of monitoring tool like – Foglight, AppDynamics, Redgate 
10. Solid acquaintance with windows server, security delegation, SPNs, storage components. 
11. Must have very good experience of AWS 
12. Experience of managing AWS databases on PostgreSQL,MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server 
13. Understanding and Practical experience of PowerShell scripting. 
14. Assisting developer in reviewing the code 
15. Assist with troubleshooting and root cause analysis. 
16. Basic Knowledge and awareness of networking and storage concept. 
17. Proficient in performance tuning, monitoring, backup, recovery, and security. 
18. Strong analytical and organizational skills, oral and written communications skills, problem solving and critical thinking skills. 
19. Ability to meet deadlines and be flexible, work independently or as part of a team, and ability to self-motivate and be proactive. 
20. Should be comfortable browsing a query execution plan and understand how to use it to identify opportunities for optimization. 
21. Understanding of potential lock escalations, deadlocks, isolation levels etc is vital 
22. Candidates having Database Administrators certification will be preferred 

 

 

Total Experience Expected: 06-08 years

Qualifications

 

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
