About the role

Order Booking person reviews the order received in line with Sulzer standard policy for order receipt. After thorough review of order in terms of scope, price, quantity this register in SAP. This is first step which shall be without any error to avoid any issue at later stage of project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review customer purchase orders received from the Sales/Tendering team against the approved quotation and PO documentation to ensure alignment.
  • Identify and promptly highlight any discrepancies related to scope, pricing, quantity, payment terms, delivery terms, or contractual conditions before order booking.
  • Thoroughly review and interpret customer contracts, identify potential commercial and operational risks, and communicate concerns to the Sales and Tendering teams for resolution.
  • Possess sound knowledge of Incoterms, payment terms, applicable taxes, duties, and statutory compliance requirements.
  • Accurately process order bookings for pumps and spare parts with a commitment to zero-error execution.
  • Coordinate and conduct internal kick-off meetings with relevant stakeholders for pump orders and critical/high-value spare parts orders.
  • Create and maintain order booking records, including generation of order codes and customer master codes whenever required.
  • Prepare, review, and submit Order Acknowledgements to customers using established standard checklists and procedures.
  • Conduct regular order booking review meetings with the Sales and Tendering teams and provide bi-weekly status and performance reports.
  • Maintain strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Excel, and demonstrate hands-on experience with SAP.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills while interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Possess knowledge of pumps, compressors, couplings, and related rotating equipment; such experience will be considered a distinct advantage.

Education: Level:  Graduate
