National Accounts Sales Consultant - Cigna Healthcare - Remote

About this role

The National Accounts Sales Consultant is a key member of the National Accounts New Business sales team. This role provides strategic sales support to National Sales VPs, helping drive new business growth with Fortune 100-500 employers. You will support the sales process across medical, dental, pharmacy, behavioral health, and other health and wellness solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Support National Sales VPs in executing new business growth strategies within an assigned region.
  • Assist in achieving membership growth, profitability, and retention goals through prospecting, sales support, and consultant relationship management.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities and strengthen sales strategies.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of Cigna Healthcare products, services, and integrated solutions.
  • Partner with internal teams, including Underwriting, Product, Marketing, Pricing, Service Operations, and Sales Effectiveness, to support sales initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Advocacy and account teams to develop customer-focused strategies that drive growth.
  • Support regional and national sales initiatives through research, planning, and coordination.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of the healthcare or managed care industry, including sales support, account management, underwriting, financial analysis, marketing, or operations.
  • Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to adapt messaging to different audiences.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality results.


If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 71,200 - 118,600 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
