Join the team that gets sports news to 120 million fans a month!
Since 2006, Flashscore has been the fastest name in sports information. Our websites and apps reach 120 million people every month across the globe, making us a world leader in live sports data — and over the last four years, we've built something new on top of that: a network of remote editorial hubs delivering sports news in over 30 markets.
Now we're looking for a News Editor to join our Italian editorial team — someone who lives and breathes Italian sport and wants to bring it to fans everywhere.
Keeping a close eye on sports news in Italy — and around the world — every day.
Writing and editing stories in Italian, publishing them through our internal CMS.
Owning the quality of what goes out: accurate, timely, well-written, error-free.
Sourcing the right photos to bring your stories to life.
Working independently while staying closely connected to your editorial team and the wider Flashscore News network.
Pitching ideas — we want people who help shape this project, not just fill a slot.
A long-term, freelance, fully remote role — work from wherever you are.
Around 20 hours a week, mostly evenings and weekends, with shifts that vary week to week.
A front-row seat on an ambitious, fast-growing sports news project reaching a genuinely global audience.
The chance to shape sports content that fans around the world will actually read.
Sharp knowledge of Italian sport — football, tennis, athletics and beyond — plus a solid handle on what's happening globally.
Native-level Italian, with strong writing and communication skills.
Comfort working in a CMS (WordPress or similar) and everyday tools like MS Office or Google Workspace.
A self-starter's mindset: independent, reliable, and someone we can count on.
Real team spirit, even while working remotely.
Flexibility and a level head when things move fast.
Genuine passion for sport and sports journalism — this should feel less like a job and more like a calling.
Sound like you? We'd love to hear from you.
