Our Hotel

The Sydney Boulevard Hotel, a classic establishment near Sydney’s CBD, boasts 275 well-appointed guest rooms, 2 food and beverage outlets, and 11 function rooms.

We are dedicated to delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining high operational standards.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and dynamic Night Audit Duty Manager to join our team,and help ensure guest requirements are always met with the delivery of exceptional service.

Job Description

What you will be doing/ Key Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt, professional and friendly service to all guests and callers, ensuring all needs are attended to without delay.
  • Complete accurate check-in and check-out processes, ensuring guest registration details and account postings are correct and updated in the system.
  • Action diary events, guest history updates, VIP flags and special requests to ensure personalised service.
  • Manage incoming mail, parcels, messages and wake-up calls, delivering or communicating them efficiently.
  • Maintain excellent communication with Housekeeping and other departments to support room readiness, guest requests and lost property handling.
  • Ensure cashiering is accurate at shift end, with correct handling of cash, credit transactions, paperwork and safe deposit boxes.
  • Follow hotel security procedures including key control, guest confidentiality and night operations protocols.
  • Complete Night Audit tasks as per checklist, including report printing, system checks and handover documentation.
  • Monitor and report service issues, system inconsistencies or operational concerns to the Front Office Manager promptly.
  • Ensure smooth shift transition with clear and thorough handovers to the oncoming team.
  • Attend required training sessions, maintaining a high level of competency across all front office procedures and relevant systems.
  • Deliver an exceptional welcome experience — greeting guests professionally at the desk and over the phone.
  • Assist with lobby tasks as required to support operational needs.
  • Maintain an organised work environment and ensure all required forms, reports, checklists and documentation are completed correctly.
  • Uphold brand standards and hotel policies at all times to maintain guest satisfaction and operational integrity.

Perform additional duties as assigned by the Front Office Manager to ensure efficient night operations and consistent guest service.
 

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous 1-2 years’ experience working in Front Office or hotel outlets.
  • Computer literate, with particularly strong knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Previous experience of working in a hotel Finance Department preferred.
  • Understanding of the responsibilities of other areas within the Finance Department preferred.
  • Pride in ensuring the accuracy of work.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent grooming standards.
  • An ability to understand and navigate complex stakeholder environments.
  • Strong focus and passion for hotel operations.
  • Sound understanding of emerging trends in the industry.
  • Confident and articulate communication, negotiation, relationship and networking skills.
  • Time management skills with the ability to multitask.
  • Strong personal integrity.
  • Flexible and able to embrace and respond effectively to change.
