Job Summary Provide assessment and treatment to clients with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities to improve mobility and function. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized rehabilitation programs. Number of Positions 1 Main Duties Assess patients' physical condition through history-taking, movement analysis, and standardized tests to identify functional limitations. Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, modalities, and assistive devices. Deliver hands-on treatments and supervised exercise programs, monitoring and adjusting interventions based on patient response. Educate patients, families, and caregivers on home programs, injury prevention, and self-management strategies. Document assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with professional and organizational standards. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and facilitate referrals. Requirements Degree in physiotherapy or equivalent from an accredited program. Registration with the relevant provincial or territorial physiotherapy regulatory body, or eligibility to register. Demonstrated clinical experience in assessment and rehabilitation, including practical placements or previous work in a relevant setting. Current cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification and basic first aid training. Ability to perform physical tasks associated with treatment, including assisting with transfers and supporting patients as required. Satisfactory criminal record check and compliance with workplace health and safety screening procedures.
