Occupational Health Nurse

About this role

Are you passionate about providing top-notch medical care and support in a dynamic work environment? We are seeking a dedicated full time Nurse to join our team and play a crucial role in ensuring the health and well-being of our employees.
Schedule: Full time - 36 hours a week

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Employee Health & Safety: Promote workplace health and safety by identifying and mitigating health risks.
  • Injury & Illness Management: Provide first aid, assess workplace injuries, and coordinate care with healthcare providers.
  • Health Screenings & Assessments: Conduct pre-employment screenings, routine health exams, and drug testing.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to OSHA, ADA, FMLA, and other workplace health regulations.
  • Case Management: Support employees with return-to-work programs, workers' compensation claims, and accommodations.
  • Health Promotion: Develop wellness programs, including stress management, nutrition, and preventive care initiatives.
  • Emergency Response: Train employees in CPR/First Aid and respond to medical emergencies.
  • Ergonomic Assessments: Recommend workplace modifications to prevent injuries.
  • Education & Training: Provide health-related training sessions to employees on topics like workplace hazards and disease prevention.
  • Collaboration: Work with HR, safety teams, and management to maintain a healthy work environment.

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse with a valid license in Virginia or a Compact License.

• 2 years of experience in Family/General/Occupational Health

• Strong knowledge of disability management and return-to-work protocols

• Proven ability to develop and implement personalized care plans

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
