DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Operations, Strategy & Execution Lead, located in Leeds, United Kingdom.
Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided.
As we navigate the DePuy Synthes separation and shape our new standalone organisation our focus is aligned behind shaping and executing strategies that drive sales acceleration ensuring sustainable growth. As we shape and evolve our DePuy Synthes mindset it is critical that we develop organisational, commercial and cultural transformation as we launch our new brand presence and value proposition with our customers and external stakeholders. Working alongside the DS Leadership team, this position drives the execution and accountability for turning the UK strategies into clear actions, aligning communication, marketing and functional partners whilst ensuring effective execution of strategic priorities to accelerate financial delivery.
Core Responsibilities:
- Shape and lead the execution of DS UK strategic priorities, through execution, governance and planning.
- Lead strategic projects and drive execution against priorities, driving clarity of ownership and execution to ensure delivery of financial commitments.
- Lead the internal and external execution of the new DS branding and value proposition.
- Execute cadence of internal, social media and digital storytelling to reinforce strategic priorities, portfolio milestones.
- Execute, Shape and lead key internal and external engagements alongside BU leads, comms and government affair to support the DS strategic priorities
- Lead and Shape the DS marketing council (Focus on DS Branding / Value Proposition / Development of the marketing role/function in DS).
- Strategic Support: Translate regional/global strategy into measurable plans, facilitate and run financial planning cycles and performance reviews (e.g. Commercial Operations), and deliver business cases and scenario analysis.
- Support/Engage in the transformation/development of Leeds One site, as a member of the governance team, shaping plans to accelerate DePuy Synthes.
- Cross-functional program management: Create project plans, manage timelines, owners and risks, maintain governance and clear reporting.
Required Education and/or Experience:
- Driven by results performance & ability to shape, execute business strategy by robust governance, influencing others without a direct report line.
- Ability to understand business strategy and coach the transition to translate it into actionable plans, coupled with high execution focus and exceptional planning skills.
- Ability to navigate the DS matrix, manage multiple stakeholders and at all levels of the organisation
- Strong passion and track record for innovation & will to make things happen & deliver.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in local language(s) and English; effective interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Data analysis skills and ability to draw actionable conclusions.
- Creative divergent thinking, problem solving skills, inclusive thinking.
- University degree in business administration, marketing & communications, public administration or related fields or studies would be preferable but not essential.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to lead and influence senior leaders without direct reporting line responsibility.
- Proven communication, presentation skills – in all forms.
- Experience of managing social media platforms and communication platforms.
- IT literate – ability to analyse and present information using appropriate IT resources.
