Junior Buyer Indirects Procurement Operations

Huntsman is seeking a Junior Buyer Indirects Procurement Operations supporting the GBS Division located in Costa Rica. This position will report to the Indirect Procurement Team Lead.

Job Scope

The Junior Buyer Indirects Procurement Operations is responsible for supporting procurement operations by monitoring procurement systems, maintaining purchasing data, processing purchase orders and invoice disputes, and collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure efficient and compliant purchasing activities.

In summary, as the Junior Buyer Indirects Procurement Operations, you will:

• Monitor procurement systems by reviewing points of integration and resolving system errors.
• Place purchase orders and process invoice disputes in a compliant manner.
• Manage and maintain purchasing data, including pricing, supplier information, order profiles, and purchase orders.
• Serve as the daily operational contact between purchasing and manufacturing sites or administrative departments.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, drive automation, and increase operational efficiency.
• Provide status updates regarding purchased goods and services to internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies as well as environment, health, and safety standards.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
 

The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in Costa Rica.

All candidates are expected to work at our office in AFZ, Heredia on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Please note that there may be occasions where additional office days are required, due specific business needs.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

Skills and knowledge

• Understanding of the purchasing process.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• B2 English required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to procurement, supply chain, or purchasing processes through internships, academic projects, or previous experience.
