About the Opportunity

The College of Social Sciences and Humanities and its nine tenure units are the home of the Experiential Liberal Arts. Strong candidates for this position will have the expertise, knowledge, and skills to build their research, pedagogy, and curriculum in ways that reflect and enhance this commitment.  

Responsibilities:  

The Department of World Languages and Cultures regularly seeks instructors to teach elementary, intermediate, and advanced courses in Arabic, Brazilian Portuguese, Chinese, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Russian, or Spanish, as well as culture-focused classes taught in English. Appointments are on a per term basis.   

Positions are available throughout the year contingent upon enrollment and departmental need.  

Qualifications:  

Master’s degree and previous teaching experience required, Ph.D. preferred.

Pay Range:

The rate for Customized Language Instruction (CLI) is $1,185 per student for a standard 4-credit course. A one credit course at the CLI rate is prorated to $296.26 per student.
