Position Highlights:
20-30 hours/week, 2 or 3 x 10 hours days
Hours: Monday-Friday; 6:30am-5:00pm (required to stay after 5pm if procedures run late)
Location: Naperville, IL
Travel: Travel to other clinics for coverage if needed

Responsibilities:
Operates radiologic equipment to produce radiographs (x-rays) of body for diagnostic purposes, as directed by Radiologist, by performing the following duties.
Operate C-Arm in a sterile environment in the operating room at a multi-specialty ASC.
Follow instructions from Physicians intraoperatively regarding which area of the patient’s body needs imaging in the Operating Room
Correctly position the patient, adjust the imaging equipment to the specified position
Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure to the patient, staff, and themselves.
Follow correct techniques and procedures such as patient shielding.
Order and Upload imaging via EMR and PACS
Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
Positions patient on examining table and adjusts immobilization devices to obtain optimum view of specific areas of body requested by physician.
Explains procedures to patient to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
Moves x-ray equipment into specified positions and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors such as time and distance.
Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff.
Obtain patient’s pertinent history.
Maintain OSHA regulations.
Performs other projects and duties as related to department objective.
Must be able to get along with others, to be a team player, to accept constructive criticism from your supervisor and be able to follow work rules.
Reports to OR Supervisor or Charge RN for work assignments.
Will assist with film quality control.
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six month to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Must be AART registered or eligible also IDNS licensed.
CPR certification
6 months-2 years related experience required

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $28.94-38.90, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
