Review daily and weekly timesheets to ensure correct prevailing wage labor codes, classifications, and fringe benefit allocations. Verify hours worked, job classifications, and project assignments for accuracy and compliance. Identify discrepancies or misclassifications and coordinate corrections with employees, supervisors and/or project managers. Prepare and submit certified payroll reports (e.g., WH‑347, state‑specific forms) accurately and on schedule. Maintain documentation required for public works compliance, including wage determinations, apprenticeship records, and fringe benefit statements. Ensure payroll records meet requirements under the Davis‑Bacon Act, state prevailing wage laws, and project‑specific mandates. Respond to audits, compliance reviews, and requests for supporting documentation. Track wage determinations, updates, and modifications to ensure correct application. Work closely with HR, project managers, and field supervisors to ensure accurate labor coding and compliance. Communicate payroll issues clearly and professionally to resolve discrepancies. Provide guidance to field staff on proper timesheet completion and labor classification requirements. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, a related field, or relevant work experience. Minor in Information Technology or Systems preferred 2–4 years of payroll experience; prevailing wage or certified payroll experience strongly preferred. Familiarity with Davis‑Bacon Act, state prevailing wage laws, and certified payroll reporting. Experience with payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks, or similar). Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret wage determinations and labor classifications. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to manage deadlines and handle sensitive payroll data with confidentiality. Preferred Skills Experience in construction, government contracting, or public works environments. Knowledge of union reporting or fringe benefit administration. Ability to analyze and resolve payroll discrepancies quickly and accurately. · ERP experience, Deltek Vantagepoint required · Advanced Excel skills · SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx experience preferred
