About the Role

Own end-to-end payroll delivery for a portfolio of Keka Managed Services clients in the US. This is a hands-on, client-facing role responsible for payroll operations, federal/state/local tax compliance, client relationships, and timely delivery.

What You'll Own

  1. Manage end-to-end US payroll cycles across bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly payrolls.
  2. Oversee federal, state, and local payroll tax compliance and filings.
  3. Manage multi-state payroll complexities, deductions, benefits, garnishments, and payroll reconciliations.
  4. Manage payroll notices, amendments, and compliance-related issues.
  5. Act as the primary point of contact for clients and build strong relationships.
  6. Own delivery timelines, SLAs, escalations, and client communication.
  7. Identify process gaps and drive automation and continuous improvement.

What You Bring — Must-Haves

  1. Strong knowledge of US payroll processes, tax compliance, and multi-state payroll.
  2. 3+ years of payroll delivery experience in an HR Tech, Payroll Tech, or B2B SaaS environment.
  3. Experience with platforms such as Gusto, Rippling, Justworks, Deel, Papaya, TriNet, ADP, Paylocity, Paycom, Paycor, or similar.
  4. Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills.
  5. High ownership, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
  6. Strong Excel and analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve payroll discrepancies.

Nice to Have

  1. Hands-on experience with CheckHQ or similar modern US payroll platforms.
  2. FPC or CPP certification.
  3. Experience managing multi-state payroll and prior-vendor migrations.
  4. Exposure to advanced Excel, SQL, or BI dashboards.
  5. Experience with state tax registration processes.
