About this role

Why RoboForce

RoboForce is an AI robotics company developing Physical AI–powered Robo-Labor for dull, dirty, and dangerous work. The company's robots are engineered for demanding industrial environments, with a focus on real-world deployment and scalability.

We’re seeking our first People Operations Generalist to own and evolve the people infrastructure of RoboForce. This role owns processes across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding/offboarding, compensation, benefits, compliance, and employee experience.

The ideal candidate will have extensive People Operations experience in high-growth, technical companies (robotics, hardware, AI), and has operated with a high degree of autonomy while partnering closely with founders and senior leaders. You bring strong judgment and execution discipline, building structure where needed while preserving speed, accountability, and culture.

Responsibilities

  • Employee Lifecycle Operations:
    • Own and continuously improve onboarding, employee changes, leave administration, workplace accommodations, and offboarding processes, ensuring a consistent and high-quality employee experience.
    • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and practical, stage-appropriate People policies; serve as a trusted contact for employee questions and support the documentation and escalation of sensitive employee relations matters.
  • Payroll, Compensation, and Benefits:
    • Manage accurate and timely payroll and timekeeping operations in partnership with Finance and external providers, including employee changes and wage-and-hour compliance.
    • Administer benefits programs, enrollment, renewals, employee support, and vendor relationships, while supporting leadership with compensation benchmarking, review-cycle administration, and compensation data.
  • Employee Experience and Culture:
    • Develop and coordinate employee engagement, recognition, and workplace experience programs that help employees feel supported, productive, and connected.
    • Reinforce RoboForce’s values through consistent People practices and internal communications, gather employee feedback, and recommend practical improvements to the employee experience.
  • Recruiting Operations:
    • Coordinate recruiting operations, including offer documentation, background checks, pre-employment requirements, and the transition from candidate to employee.
    • Partner with recruiters, hiring managers, and Finance to maintain accurate hiring and headcount information and ensure recruiting processes and documentation are consistent and compliant.
  • People Systems and Compliance:
    • Administer and continuously improve the HRIS, payroll, benefits, and related People systems while maintaining accurate, secure, and confidential employee data and reporting.
    • Manage the People compliance calendar—including required filings, audits, notices, training, employment eligibility, and recordkeeping—and coordinate immigration cases with employees, leadership, and external counsel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in People Operations, Human Resources, or a related role, preferably within a technology startup or high-growth company.
  • Broad, hands-on experience across payroll, benefits, compliance, employee lifecycle operations, immigration, and employee experience.
  • Experience administering HRIS, payroll, benefits, and related People systems.
  • Working knowledge of applicable employment laws and HR practices, with the judgment to identify risks and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Experience supporting immigration processes and coordinating with external counsel.
  • Strong judgment, discretion, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-changing environment.
  • Ability to work independently while partnering closely with company leaders and cross-functional teams.
  • Requires 5 days/week in-office collaboration with the teams.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience supporting both high-growth startups and established technology companies.
  • Experience in robotics, hardware, artificial intelligence, manufacturing, or another technical environment.
  • HR certification such as SHRM-CP, PHR, or an equivalent credential.
  • Experience helping implement or migrate an HRIS, payroll, or benefits platform.

Benefits

  • Competitive stock options/equity programs.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) plan.
