**Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 24 hours.

Responsibilities

Under the general supervision and direction of the Chief of Cardiac Surgery, operate heart-lung machine and related equipment. Assemble and operate cell-savers, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), Abiomed Impellas and ECMO circuits (Cardiohelp). Monitor and record vital signs such as blood flow rates, gas flow rates, EKG, laboratory values and activated clotting times (ACTs). Maintain thorough perfusion records, before, during and after cardiopulmonary bypass. Dis-assemble equipment, inspect, clean and reassemble equipment and ensure proper storage. Order inventory and store standard supplies and equipment.

Qualifications

  • Equal to completion of two years of college in a related field or the equivalent knowledge and experience is required.
  • Must possess Perfusionist license from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • Must possess American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP) certification, CPR certification and license from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired

 

 

 

Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience. 

Pay Range

USD $147,056.00 - USD $242,632.00 /Yr.
