Expectations:

Assists the Laboratory Manager with the operation of the phlebotomy department by performing educational and phlebotomy procedures in conjunction with associated clerical and quality assurance functions. Acts as a technical resource and educational lead to ensure an efficient operation. Works with lab management to perform various administrative tasks that ensure section/shift operates in an efficient, effective manner. This position requires flexibility of hours.

EDUCATION:

Associates Degree required.

Bachelor's Degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
Minimum of two (2) years of phlebotomy experience in a hospital setting in a leadership role required. Two (2) years of supervisory experience in a clinical setting preferred.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Required:
Current Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT I) certification issued by State of California.

SKILLS:
Exemplary communication and organizational.
Must have the ability to calmly and equitably moderate disagreements.
Maintain a positive approach to problem solving and be flexible in meeting new challenges.
Ability to multitask.
Strong computer skills.
Must have a strong background in education.

Pay Range: The estimated base rate for this position is $74,183.00 - $113,132.00.

Additional individual compensation may be available for this role through differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
