Job Description

Job Summary

Shriners Hospitals for Children is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to provide high-quality physical therapy services to pediatric patients. This role involves assessing, planning, and implementing individualized treatment programs to maximize functional independence and improve quality of life for children with orthopedic and neuromuscular conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides comprehensive compliant and safe clinical care demonstrating the philosophy of family centered care, a commitment to the achievement of optimal patient outcomes in alignment with the standards of practice of their professional organization. 

  • Works with medical staff and the multidisciplinary team to design and implement individualized plans of care to meet the needs of the pediatric patients and their family.

  • Functions as a team member and develops leadership skills through activities such as: mentoring, and providing education to students and other professionals.

  • Supports the ongoing development and improvement of the department through participation in special projects, performance improvement and facility committees.

  • Responsible for professional growth and development through ongoing education and research in alignment with hospital’s patient care and strategic direction.

  • Responsible for maintaining current knowledge in changes related to scope of practice, coding/billing practices, compliant documentation and any other knowledge related to the compliant practice in a revenue cycle environment.


Required Qualifications

  • Education necessary to obtain License in State of Practice

  • Licensed in state of practice

  • CPR/BLS

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year of Physical Therapy experience preferred  (new graduates welcome to apply) 

  • Pediatric experience

  • PCS, OCS, NCS, and CHT


Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
