Job Description:

We are currently looking for a Planner to join Hitachi Rail Portugal.

A Planner is responsible for:

  • Support Project Managers in the planning, monitoring and control of project activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones and baseline plans using project management tools.
  • Monitor project progress, identify deviations and support the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Prepare project performance reports, dashboards and management presentations.
  • Support project forecasting activities, including workload planning, resource allocation and schedule updates.
  • Monitor project KPIs and contribute to project performance improvement initiatives.
  • Support the preparation and follow-up of project invoicing and contractual milestones.
  • Coordinate project data collection and ensure consistency of project reporting information.
  • Contribute to risk and opportunity management activities.
  • Support governance activities, project reviews and management meetings.

Technical & Professional Skills

  • Good knowledge of Project Management methodologies and principles.
  • Experience in project scheduling, planning and project controls activities.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Project and/or Oracle Primavera P6.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
  • Experience in project reporting, KPI monitoring and performance analysis.
  • Knowledge of Power BI is considered an advantage.

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, Project Management or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in PMO, Project Controls, Project Planning or Project Coordination roles.
  • Experience in railway, transportation, infrastructure or large-scale engineering projects is considered an advantage.
  • IPMA Certification is considered an advantage.
  • Fluency in English (mandatory).
