Job Summary: Our client, a building construction company, is seeking an experienced Planning Manager to oversee project planning and execution, ensuring smooth on-site operations using MS Projects. The role involves coordinating with various teams to monitor progress, manage resources, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Key responsibilities include preparing annual operating plans, generating and analyzing MIS reports, setting deadlines, and driving cost control measures. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a background in civil engineering or a related field, with experience in planning and managing construction projects. Responsibilities: Strategize plans for smooth on-site operations using MS Projects, ensuring project timelines and budgets are adhered to. Liaise with various agencies and stakeholders to supervise project progress and ensure timely completion. Generate and analyze weekly and monthly MIS reports, progress curves, delay analysis, risk analysis, and look-ahead reports. Prepare the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for projects and ensure alignment with overall project goals. Coordinate and manage the entire project management cycle, from requirement gathering to final execution. Set deadlines, target work programs, and manage project teams to ensure tasks are completed on time and within scope. Oversee on-site construction activities, ensuring efficient resource utilization, cost management, and project completion within time and budget constraints. Monitor and report project progress, provide updates to management, and lead periodic project review meetings. Plan, coordinate, and schedule project activities, ensuring timely documentation of issues and actions related to construction schedules. Lead and manage project teams, engaging with design, engineering, planning, and budgeting teams to develop technical and commercial tender documents. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. 5 to 8 years of experience in quantity surveying, billing, and finishing works for construction projects, preferably high-rise developments. Strong experience in planning, monitoring, budgeting, and managing construction projects from inception to completion. Proficient in project management software, particularly MS Projects, and ability to implement cost control measures. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to handle confidential information professionally. Experience in generating and analyzing MIS reports, progress reports, and other project-related documentation. Strong leadership ability, capable of managing cross-functional teams and coordinating with various stakeholders. Knowledge of construction processes, including procurement, project scheduling, and budget management. Demonstrated ability to manage resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) while ensuring budgetary limits are adhered to. Ability to prepare and present detailed progress reports to senior management and investors.
