Job Description Summary

As a Lead Engineer for Power Quality Products, you will be the technical heart of our commercial tendering process. Your primary objective is to transform customer RFQs (Request for Quotations) into competitive, technically robust, and cost-optimized proposals. You will bridge the gap between customer requirements and our technical solutions, playing a critical role in the growth of our Power Quality business.

Key Responsibilities

Tendering & Proposal Development: Analyze customer RFQs to define the technical scope, select appropriate hardware/system configurations, and generate high-quality technical proposals.

Costing & Estimation: Perform accurate technical costing for offered goods, ensuring competitive pricing that aligns with project requirements and business margin targets.

Technical Specification: Translate complex customer needs into clear, actionable technical specifications. Manage the interface with internal and external suppliers for third-party components.

Engineering Oversight: Ensure all proposed designs and calculations adhere to global engineering standards, local grid requirements, and company best practices.

Project Liaison: Coordinate with sales, product management, and supply chain teams to ensure proposals are delivered on time and meet the required technical standards.

Strategic Growth: As you evolve in the role, take ownership of technical project management tasks, including the development of detailed project documentation and advanced 3D system modeling.

Continuous Improvement: Participate in internal technical reviews and contribute to the refinement of our tendering processes, quality standards, and product documentation.

Qualifications

Education: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited university or college.

Experience: Some professional engineering experience, ideally within Power Quality, Reactive Power, or industrial power systems.

Language Skills:

English: Full professional proficiency (required for documentation and internal/external communication).

Finnish: Strong advantage (preferred for local stakeholder coordination).

French and/or Spanish and/ or German will be an advantage

Analytical Rigor: Strong capability in analyzing technical data to produce precise cost estimates and design layouts.

Commercial Awareness: Ability to balance technical excellence with commercial feasibility and business profitability.

Communication & Influence: Exceptional skills in articulating technical value propositions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Organizational Mastery: Proven ability to manage multiple tender deadlines and projects simultaneously without compromising on detail.

Leadership: Demonstrated experience leading small project teams or coordinating cross-functional initiatives.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $98,400 and $164,000. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
