Job Title: Preschool Assistant Teacher (British International School) Location: Ikeja, Lagos Job Summary: We are seeking experienced and highly motivated Preschool Assistant Teacher. The successful candidate will support learning and/or school operations for Topaz – 2 ½ years to 3 ½ years; Opal – 3 ½ years to 4 ½ years. We are looking for a professional who meets the stated qualification and experience requirements and can contribute positively to the school's learning environment, student experience and wider operations. Key Responsibilities: Support the lead teacher in creating a safe, nurturing and engaging early-years learning environment. Assist with classroom routines, learning activities and age-appropriate experiences for the assigned preschool groups. Support children's participation, communication, early literacy and development through suitable classroom activities. Observe and support individual children's needs and communicate relevant observations to the lead teacher. Apply knowledge of the EYFS framework in daily classroom practice. Support an organized classroom environment and positive relationships with children, colleagues and parents. Qualifications and Experience: Minimum Education / Qualification: NCE/OND in Early Childhood Education or related field Minimum Experience: 1 year Year Group(s) / Classes: Topaz – 2 ½ years to 3 ½ years; Opal – 3 ½ years to 4 ½ years What We Value: Professionalism and a strong sense of responsibility.
