Collins Aerospace is seeking a Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) for a position in Largo, Florida.

What You Will Do​

  • Architect, engineer, administer, and maintain highly available Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) clusters supporting large-scale enterprise, mission-critical, and classified environments.
  • Serve as a senior technical authority for Cisco Unified Communications (UC) environments, providing architectural direction, engineering guidance, and technical leadership across voice and collaboration services.
  • Design, implement, optimize, and troubleshoot complex CUCM dial plans, including route patterns, route groups, route lists, SIP trunks, device pools, partitions, calling search spaces, translation patterns, and advanced call-routing solutions.
  • Engineer and maintain Cisco Unity Connection environments, including enterprise voicemail architectures, user provisioning, call handlers, automated attendants, integrations, redundancy, and complex troubleshooting.
  • Design, administer, and troubleshoot voice gateways, session border controllers (SBCs), SIP infrastructure, and associated VoIP services across geographically distributed environments.
  • Lead Tier III/IV troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex voice and collaboration incidents involving call routing, SIP signaling, registration, interoperability, latency, packet loss, jitter, codec negotiation, voice quality, and service availability.
  • Design and implement advanced call-distribution solutions, including hunt pilots, hunt lists, line groups, call queuing, call coverage, automated routing, and resiliency mechanisms aligned with operational requirements.
  • Architect and support Meet-Me conferencing, conference bridge resources, collaboration services, and integrations with enterprise communication platforms.
  • Lead the planning, engineering, coordination, and execution of CUCM and Unity Connection upgrades, migrations, patches, version transitions, and lifecycle management activities with minimal operational disruption.
  • Develop and approve comprehensive upgrade and implementation strategies, including engineering plans, test procedures, rollback strategies, risk assessments, maintenance windows, validation criteria, and operational acceptance plans.
  • Lead voice and collaboration modernization initiatives from requirements analysis and solution architecture through laboratory validation, migration planning, production implementation, and post-cutover stabilization.
  • Architect and implement DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) compliance across Cisco Unified Communications platforms, associated virtual appliances, and supporting infrastructure.
  • Evaluate security findings and determine technically sound remediation strategies while balancing cybersecurity requirements, system availability, mission impact, and operational constraints.
  • Engineer and maintain secure communications architectures in accordance with DoD, organizational, RMF, cybersecurity, and classified-environment requirements.
  • Develop and maintain authoritative engineering documentation, including high-level and low-level designs, network and call-flow diagrams, configuration standards, technical baselines, operational procedures, disaster recovery plans, continuity strategies, and system security documentation.
  • Establish and enforce configuration management practices, technical baselines, engineering standards, and change-control processes for enterprise voice and collaboration platforms.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to P3/P2 engineers and support personnel, including design reviews, troubleshooting guidance, knowledge transfer, and development of engineering standards and best practices.

Qualifications You Must Have 

  • A strong understanding and knowledge of computer, network, and security systems.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work well independently under limited oversight, be self-directed and able to prioritize work.
  • Active and transferable Top Secret U.S. government issued security clearance with SCI eligibility is required prior to start date.
  • Must be able to attain and maintain a DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ or CISSP preferred).
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.

Qualifications We Prefer​

  • Experience with Juniper SRX, EX series routers and switches.
  • Experience deploying security solutions for DoD networks.
  • Experience with multi-platforms like Windows, UNIX, LINUX
  • Understanding of network engineering fundamentals, including: OSI layers, IP addressing, sub-netting, TCP/IP stack, VLANs, DHCP, etc.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and applications as required.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
