Principal Global Trial Associate (pGTA)
Drive Clinical Trials Through Their Most Critical Milestones

At Bristol Myers Squibb, our Principal Global Trial Associates are trusted operational leaders who partner with Global Trial Leads, CROs, and cross-functional teams to drive critical study activities throughout study planning/startup/conduct, inspection/audit readiness and post DB Lock study closure.
Your Mission
Independently manage operational deliverables across global clinical trials, ensuring studies are executed compliantly, risks are proactively managed, and key milestones are successfully delivered through final study closure.
What Your Week Might Look Like
Driving study closure activities after database lock
Managing vendors and CROs to ensure timely study delivery
Supporting inspection readiness, audits, and CAPA activities
Monitoring budgets, accruals, and financial reconciliation
Identifying risks and implementing mitigation plans
Mentoring colleagues and contributing to process improvements
What You'll Do
Independently manage complex study deliverables and operational activities
Drive inspection readiness, compliance activities, and quality oversight
Oversee study documentation, eTMF quality, and milestone tracking
Support vendor oversight, budget management, and financial reconciliation
Partner with Global Trial Leads and stakeholders to resolve challenges
Lead or contribute to initiatives that improve study execution and efficiency

Your Background
Bachelor's degree in a scientific, healthcare, or related discipline
4-6+ years of experience in clinical trial operations or global study management
Experience managing operational deliverables across global clinical trials from study startup to study closure.
Strong understanding of ICH-GCP, clinical trial regulations, and end-to-end study execution
Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage complex operational challenges
Experience as a Subject Matter Expert, mentor, trainer, or process improvement lead is highly valued

Compensation Overview:
The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee’s work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. The final compensation will be determined based on demonstrated experience and in accordance with pay equity principles and applicable employment laws.

On-site Protocol
BMS has an occupancy structure that determines where an employee is required to conduct their work. This structure includes site-essential, site-by-design, field-based and remote-by-design jobs. The occupancy type that you are assigned is determined by the nature and responsibilities of your role:
Site-essential roles require 100% of shifts onsite at your assigned facility. Site-by-design roles may be eligible for a hybrid work model with at least 50% onsite at your assigned facility. For these roles, onsite presence is considered an essential job function and is critical to collaboration, innovation, productivity, and a positive Company culture.
