Analog Devices is looking for an intelligent and versatile Application Engineer to join our RF Semiconductor team, based in Istanbul, Turkey, who will be responsible for our phase-array design and system integration. The position involves working with highly-motivated product development and design teams globally.
Context on the role:
As a Principal Application Engineer , you will perform a full range of product development activities including, but not limited to:
Key Responsibilities:
Design and development of antennas
Design and development of phased array system based on silicon components
Schematic and PCB layout for demo boards, reference designs for customers, also including generation of User Guide.
Evaluation of products and application scenarios using bench equipment.
System Architecture Expertise: Develop and apply comprehensive system-level understanding to optimize product integration in complex customer environments and influence future product development
Advanced Customer Solution Development: Lead the creation of sophisticated application tools, reference boards, and software that demonstrate product capabilities and solve complex integration challenges
Participation in customer visits to assist sales staff in assessing potential application of products to meet customer needs.
Strategic Competitive Intelligence: Lead in-depth analysis of competitor products, create detailed comparison methodologies, and provide strategic insights to maintain ADI's competitive advantage
Technical Knowledge Dissemination: Create and deliver advanced technical documentation and training to share expertise throughout the organization and customer base
Requirements*:
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Masters or PhD preferred
Experience in antenna design and phased-arrays
Typically 10+ years of relevant experience in product applications engineering, customer technical support, or related roles
Less experience may be acceptable with relevant Master's or Doctorate qualifications
Knowledge in EM simulation tools and principles
Knowledge in system line-up & budget simulations
Motivated, results oriented and organized engineer with good writing, presentation and overall communication skills
Willingness and ability to learn something new quickly
Comfortable taking calculated risks
Innately curious with a desire to understand the business model, operations, financial structure for the organization
Has a bias for action and works in collaboration with others to deliver results
High tolerance for ambiguity
