Position Responsibilities:

Ensure that data center systems and control systems (hardware and software) are designed with high reliability and flexibility. Establish control sequence standards and best practices and drive operational excellence throughout the organization. Ensure the team is using the right control engineering and SCADA methodologies for the company’s scale while recognizing the unique requirements of the data center systems’ problem space. Fully decompose complex problems into simple solutions, leveraging existing solutions where possible. Contribute to intellectual property through patent submissions. Exert technical influence across multiple teams. Serve as a mentor and role model for junior engineers.

Position Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field and eight years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Employer will accept ten years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation as equivalent to a bachelor’s degree and eight years of experience. Must have eight years of experience in the following skill(s): 1) designing, programming, or commissioning controls systems for industrial applications; 2) experience with controls in data centers or other critical facilities; 3) programming control logic systems in one of the following systems: Siemens, Tridium, Distech, Struxureware, Alerton, or related; and 4) experience in common controls communication protocols (Modbus, BACnet, or related). Domestic and/or international travel up to 25% to perform role responsibilities may be required.
