The Opportunity 

Our Industrial group of technical engineering and project management specialists have demonstrated their ongoing commitment to delivering innovative and successful project solutions for our clients. As a result, we are seeking a Process Engineer to join our team, to partner with our clients in delivering all sized projects and capital works. 

This role is ideal for someone with established experience who is looking to take the next step in their Career by playing a lead role in project delivery and supporting the development of their colleagues. 

Based in our Melbourne or Sydney office and working amongst our team of experienced engineers, you will step into a supportive culture where you can be involved, be heard and be encouraged to lead. About You 

This position would suit a degree-qualified Process or Chemical Engineer with experience delivering capital projects. Preference will be given to candidates with exposure to minerals, metals and sustainability-focused projects, including energy auditing and efficiency improvement initiatives, although experience in food, beverage, manufacturing and water industries is also desirable.

While each project you work on will be different in scope and scale, this role will see you: 

  • Leading process designs, including PFD and P&ID development, developing specifications for process equipment and supporting the tendering of major equipment. 

  • Build strong long-term relationships with our clients, demonstrate your ability to understand our client's core business, translate client requirements into project deliverables, and ensure that services meet their expectations. 

  • Demonstrate your ability and passion for providing technical advice to improve process capacity or troubleshoot issues either in the main plant or in the utility space. 

  • Undertake and lead process reviews, investigations, options assessments and designs. 

  • Work effectively in a team environment to deliver multi-disciplinary design, coordinating process design inputs and outputs with other disciplines, from early phase scope definition to detailed design.  

  • Manage project finances, including cost tracking, forecasting, and ensuring spend aligns with budget objectives. 

  • Leading and mentoring more junior engineers and their professional growth and development. 

  • Bring flexibility to travel to work alongside clients to deliver projects – gaining industrial site experience through short to long term assignments as part of site-based engineering teams during the implementation phase, including procurement, construction and commissioning.
