About this role

The Allied Solutions internship program is a robust and consistent internship program for juniors and seniors. The program will focus on learning and development as well as hands-on experience. The program will immerse the intern into a broad range of responsibilities, allowing them to identify their professional interests.

Interested applicants must be available during the 12-week program (May 24th – Aug. 13th, 2027). This is a full-time internship (40-hours per week) based in St. Paul, Minnesota on the Securian campus.

The Risk Management Product Intern will help the Risk Management Product Department with various projects related to managing products like vehicle insurance tracking, real estate insurance tracking, financial recovery solutions offered to Lenders and more. Product management projects and tasks may include the design and implementation of a Product Management knowledge hub/sharepoint site, development of monthly product summary report and identification of key inputs, identification and assessment of current Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and tracking/reporting capabilities, or standard product packaging alignment and change management. In this position, the intern will gain a better understanding of the role and gain hands-on experience for them to be better prepared to work in Financial Services and Lending.

Job Duties and Responsibilities 

Product Management knowledge hub  

  • Leveraging knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools and SharePoint, Design and establish a Risk Management Product Knowledge Hub 

 

Monthly product summary report  

  • Inventory all current Risk Management reports 

  • Identify key metrics from individual reports for a standardized Risk Management Product Monthly Summary 

 

Service Level Agreement (SLA) Tracking & Reporting 

  • Assess all current standard and non-standard SLAs across all Risk Management Products and Clients 

  • Define metric availability and reporting processes  

 

Product Packaging Design  

  • Leveraging recently defined product packages, assess all clients across Risk Management Products and Services to determine necessary changes to align current state with each newly define package option 

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications & KSA) 

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program as a Junior or Senior, pursuing a degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.  

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills 

  • Strong decision making and organizational skills required 

  • Results-driven with a proven track record of achievement 

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail 

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form 

  • Familiarity with Microsoft office products, with ability to learn internal systems 

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple support functions 

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment 

  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with others 

  • Proven track record of dependability and reliability 

  • Ability to acknowledge and respect confidential information 

  • Experience with content management or sales enablement preferred
