We are currently recruiting for a Production Shift Manager at our fresh potato packing site in Boston, Lincolnshire.
Shift & Hours of work: Sunday to Thursday - Fixed shift / 17:30hrs to 02:15hrs
Rate of Pay: Competitive
Responsibilities
- Manage daily production activities and manage the team to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety standards while enforcing quality control measures throughout the production process.
- Deliver training to your team to ensure understanding of requirement and processes.
- Collaborate with management to monitor production metrics and identify areas for improvement.
- Encourage open communication, providing feedback and support to team members.
- Conduct problem-solving initiatives to address any operational challenges efficiently.
- Investigate and action breaches of discipline or company rules.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a leadership or managerial role within a production or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of production processes, quality assurance, and safety regulations.
- Effective leadership skills, with a proven ability to inspire and mentor a diverse team.
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities to enhance production efficiency.
- Strong communication skills to build rapport with team members and management.
- Ability to organise and prioritise workload to the required standards and to tight deadlines.
