The opportunity

Are you ready to lead a high-performing manufacturing team and make a direct impact on the delivery of innovative energy solutions? Hitachi Energy is looking for a motivated Production Team Leader to drive operational excellence, foster a culture of safety and quality, and inspire team success within our manufacturing operations.

In this role, you will lead daily production activities, ensuring products are manufactured efficiently, safely, and on schedule. You'll balance people leadership, resource planning, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives while collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve production targets. Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.

How you'll make an impact

  • Lead daily production operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals.
  • Organize and allocate resources effectively to meet production schedules and volume requirements.
  • Drive capacity planning and resource optimization for assigned production areas.
  • Monitor production performance and implement actions to improve efficiency and product quality.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve critical product, process, and equipment issues.
  • Identify opportunities for equipment, facility, and process improvements and support implementation activities.
  • Coach, motivate, and develop team members to build a highly engaged and skilled workforce.
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and workplace safety.

Your background

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment; additional experience may also be considered.
  • Previous leadership experience in a transformer manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Experience with transformer coil winding is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with ERP and workforce management systems such as SAP and Kronos, along with strong written and verbal communication skills.
