About this role

Your opportunity at ARC’TERYX:

As the Program Manager, Talent Development, Arc’One, you will own the learning and talent development portfolio for our Manufacturing and Distribution Centre, partnering closely with business leaders, People & Culture, and enterprise Talent teams to build the capabilities our people and business need to thrive.

You will work across our frontline and leadership populations, from Individual Contributors and Team Leads through Supervisors and Senior Supervisors, translating business priorities and performance challenges into practical, scalable learning and development solutions.

This is a highly business-facing role for someone who can move comfortably between strategic thinking and hands-on execution. You will have the opportunity to shape how Arc’One builds capability, develops leaders, and creates a culture of continuous learning in a complex, fast-paced operational environment.

You will also lead and develop L&D team members supporting the Arc’One portfolio, with the opportunity to evolve the team and its scope as the business grows.

Meet your future team:

As part of the global People & Culture organization, the Functional Development team creates and scales learning and capability development experiences across Arc’teryx through in-person, digital, and hybrid approaches.

We partner strategically with the business to build the capabilities required to deliver our strategy, strengthen leadership, and create high-performing teams. We believe learning should solve real business problems, be grounded in how people work, and create measurable impact.

This role is based at our Arc’One facility in New Westminster and is open to hybrid remote work 2-3 days per week. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.

Key responsibilities

  • Own the ARC’One learning and talent development portfolio, setting annual and multi-year priorities and roadmaps aligned to business strategy, operational priorities, employee experience, and leadership capability needs.
  • Partner with business leaders as a strategic capability consultant, identifying performance and capability gaps and determining the right learning, talent, or organizational intervention to address them.
  • Build frontline and people leader capability across Team Leads, Supervisors, and Senior Supervisors through leadership development, coaching, Arc’teryx Leadership Code practices, and targeted leadership pipeline development.
  • Own and evolve key development experiences including onboarding/Basecamp, Micropeaks, Arc’teryx Leadership Code and Live It activations, Development Planning, new people leader development, and other experiences that strengthen capability and career growth.
  • Lead the design, delivery, evaluation, and continuous improvement of learning solutions, using modern learning design and adult learning principles to create experiences that are practical, engaging, and relevant to the operational environment.
  • Measure and communicate impact, using learner data, stakeholder feedback, adoption, behavior change, capability indicators, and relevant business measures to continuously improve the portfolio.
  • Lead and develop L&D team members, providing coaching, performance management, prioritization, and clarity of ownership while building a sustainable team model that can evolve with the needs of the business.
  • Partner across the broader Functional Development and Talent ecosystem, leveraging enterprise solutions where appropriate, adapting them for ARC’One, and collaborating with SMEs, Factory Training, People Leaders, and external partners to build scalable learning and internal facilitator capability.

What you bring

  • Experience leading learning, talent development, or organizational capability in a manufacturing, distribution, supply chain, retail, or other operational environment.
  • Strong understanding of the needs of frontline and hourly populations, including shift-based environments and leaders operating close to the work.
  • Demonstrated ability to act as a strategic business partner, translating business priorities and performance challenges into practical development solutions.
  • Experience managing, coaching, and developing L&D or Talent Development professionals and building effective teams.
  • Strong experience in leadership development, particularly for frontline and mid-level leaders.
  • Strong learning design and adult learning expertise, with the ability to distinguish when learning is the right intervention and when another solution may be needed.
  • Experience managing complex portfolios and working effectively across senior stakeholders, SMEs, and external partners.
  • Strong facilitation, consulting, communication, and relationship-building skills, combined with a practical, hands-on approach.
  • A passion for creating modern, inclusive, and engaging development experiences that help people and teams perform at their best.
