About this role
Summary:
The intern will form part of our Translation Project Management team and will primarily be responsible for providing support on Translation projects in accordance to the standards of our company.
This is an excellent opportunity to learn and develop different transferable skills through a valuable experience in a multicultural and dynamic environment. Given the cross-departmental collaboration on a global scale, the intern will gain a thorough understanding of multiple business operations in the world´s leading Language Services Provider.
Work setting: On-site from Colegiales, Buenos Aires, Argentina
Position responsibilities:
Providing support on different phases of Translation projects
Looking for corresponding linguists in the data base
Negotiate with freelance translators and proofreaders
Prepare job folders and files for translation
Ensure deadlines are met with the linguists according to projects
Preparing trackers, job folders and files for subsequent translations or media team tasks
Issuing POs for vendors
Potentially carry out linguistic/non-linguistic final eyes to ensure the final product meets clients´ needs
Essential skills and experience required:
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, other languages would be an asset.
Be able to sign an internship, therefore must be enrolled in an educational institution.
Current studies related to translation, linguistics or similar (knowledge of CAT tools is very desirable).
Show strong organizational skills with ability to adhere to schedules and deadlines, prioritizing when needed to accomplish requests effectively and efficiently.
Strong attention to detail, able to process vast amounts of information accurately.
Strong interpersonal skills with a proactive, can-do attitude.
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
