POSITION TITLE: Project Planner

POSITION REPORTS TO: Senior Project Manager
DEPARTMENT: Production and Logistics

POSITION EFFECTIVE: July,8th 2026

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Project Planner is responsible for coordinating and organizing project activities, resources, and information to ensure successful execution of projects within specified timeframes and budgets. This role requires excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, including tasks, milestones, and dependencies.
  • Monitor and track project progress against established timelines.
  • Part number generation and data entry.
  • Collaborate with project managers and department leads to allocate resources effectively creating Bill of Materials for project execution.
  • Account analysis of excessive / obsolete inventory levels.
  • Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project delivery.
  • Develop mitigation plans and escalate issues as needed.
  • Attend project meetings to update team and customers on progress, risks, and issues.
  • Prepare and distribute project status reports and documentation.
  • Track expenses and report on variances to manage project budgets.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, agreements, and change orders.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in project planning and execution.
  • Foster positive relationships with clients, vendors, and team members.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

This position does not have direct reports.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to include proficiency in MS Excel).
  • Experience with Epicor MRP system is a plus.
  • Ability to learn through on-the-job training process.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics, project management, inventory management, or a related field or a combination of education and experience.
  • Two plus years of experience in material planning, project planning, or a related position.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain management.

OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to work in hot and cold climates.
  • Varying work schedules based on business needs is sometimes required.
  • Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to operate a computer keyboard.
  • Ability to read a variety of materials.
  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to carry and lift materials up to 25 lbs.
