Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Punch List Specialist to join our construction management team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for inspecting completed work, identifying deficiencies, and ensuring all project components meet quality standards before project handover. Your expertise will help maintain high standards of craftsmanship and ensure client satisfaction. Duties

  • Conduct thorough inspections of construction sites to identify incomplete or defective work using tools such as Bluebeam and other digital inspection software
  • Create detailed punch lists outlining necessary repairs or adjustments related to drywall installation, flooring, cabinetry, electrical wiring, plumbing fixtures, stucco, masonry, tile laying, and other building components
  • Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and tradespeople to communicate punch list items clearly and efficiently
  • Verify that all work complies with blueprints, specifications, safety standards, and building codes through blueprint reading and construction inspection techniques
  • Monitor progress on punch list items to ensure timely completion while maintaining high-quality standards
  • Document all findings with photographs and detailed reports for record-keeping and project documentation
  • Assist in coordinating heavy equipment operation or fabrication tasks if required for specific restoration or hardscape projects

Experience

  • Proven experience in construction management or a similar role within the construction industry
  • Strong knowledge of building finishing trades including drywall installation, trim carpentry, cabinet installation, door hanging, caulking, stucco application, concrete forming and finishing, masonry work, tile laying, and flooring installation
  • Familiarity with electrical work, plumbing systems, painting techniques, and fixture installation processes
  • Skilled in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively on various construction sites
  • Experience with blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings for accurate assessments
  • Knowledge of Bluebeam or similar digital collaboration tools for inspection documentation is highly desirable
  • Prior experience conducting construction inspections or managing punch lists on remodeling or restoration projects is preferred
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment or engage in fabrication activities as needed for specialized tasks
