About this role
Source and procure industrial, specialty, or bulk gas products in accordance with operational requirements. Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and supply agreements with gas suppliers and distributors. Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and regulatory developments within the maritime industry. Manage purchase orders, delivery schedules, and inventory levels to ensure continuous supply. Evaluate supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships. Coordinate with operations, logistics, and finance teams to ensure timely delivery and accurate billing. Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategic sourcing initiatives. Resolve supply chain disruptions, shortages, or quality-related issues promptly. Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and documentation for audit purposes. Requirements Diploma in Maritime Studies, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related discipline. Minimum 2–3 years of procurement experience in shipping, ship management, or marine-related industries. Strong knowledge of marine spare parts, technical stores, and vessel operations is preferred. Good negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills. Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications, with strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
