Job Description Summary

We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team. This position is responsible for leading and facilitating the implementation of global and site-specific quality initiatives and their continual improvements. Responsible for the day-to-day site quality engineering activities.

Job Description:

Duties

  • Follow and abide by all safety standards and expectations.
  • Monitor and review process activities. Initiate engineering change requests. Complete Internal Sample Inspection Reports (ISIR).
  • Responsible for and/or participate in Material Review Board (MRB) and Design Review Board.
  • Plan and implement inspection instruction sheets and assist Inspectors.
  • Conduct Statistical Process Control activities.
  • Complete Internal Problem-Solving Reports.
  • Corrective/Preventive action issues
  • Train others as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor/manager.

Skills

  • Proficient in analyzing data to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement.
  • Experience with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 quality management systems.
  • Demonstrated expertise in quality assurance and quality control methodologies.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with QA/QC processes, tools, and techniques.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in quality system development, automotive quality systems/technical specifications
  • Must possess management system auditing and problem-solving skills and experience in customer concern management is essential.
  • Must be computer efficient MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project, and Access
  • Working knowledge of statistical techniques, data analysis and root cause tools
  • Self-directed goal-oriented individual possessing excellent communication, presentation, and organization, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to teach/train/facilitate and lead the execution of Quality initiatives in a team environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Materials or Manufacturing Engineering preferred, or equivalent experience.
