About this role

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Inspection of first offs, last offs, final component and assembly inspection, sub-contractor supplied parts and incoming raw materials
  • . Generate a SIM for any out of specification part, attaching comprehensive explanation and report of errors.
  • Place out of spec items into NMNUK quarantine system. Maintain records in adherence to quality systems.
  • Be conversant with PPAP requirements. Assist in machine trials. Assist in gauge R&R studies.
  • Assist in collection of statistical data as required.
  • Supports all company and department activities associated with meeting the goal in the “Presidents Message”
  • Adopts and practices Kaizen principles and concepts, participates in continuous improvement and GEAR activities.
  • Follows all general procedures as indicated in the General Procedures section of the Level 3 Procedures Manual.
  • Supports and adheres to policies, procedures, and operational guidelines related to established quality management systems (e.g. TS 16949, ISO 90012014).
  • Maintains working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • 3 years in a quality related field.
  • Ability to translate technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with a range of metrology and inspection equipment.
  • Familiarity with ISO9001 : 2015 quality systems.
  • Computer literate.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.
