Job Title
R&D Engineer I or II - Oxide CeramicsAs the R&D Engineer, you will provide engineering support and technical guidance to material, product, and process development programs.Roles & Responsibilities:
With limited direction, conduct engineering experiments on new materials, products, processes and/or procedures.
Participate significantly in projects to optimize and improve existing materials, products, processes and/or procedures.
Contribute to project plan development, execution and reporting activities to support CoorsTek project management activities.
Devise basic research methods and documents results and procedures.
Operate process and test equipment with an understanding of functionality based on underlying engineering principles.
Exercise responsibility for specific pieces of processing and/or analytical equipment.
Work collaboratively with the Operations and Commercial sectors of the company.
Participate in the company’s safety culture and continuous improvement efforts.
Undertake further training to improve skills.
Job Requirements:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Ceramic Engineering, Materials Science preferred or related Engineering field.
A minimum of one (1) year of relevant industry experience, which may include internship, co-op, or other applicable hands-on experience.
Hands on oxide ceramic materials formulation and processing experience highly preferred.
Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Sound knowledge of mathematics, statistics, engineering science and ceramic processing.
Knowledge of ceramic materials and processing.
Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
Organized and detail oriented.
Role Specific Information:
LEVEL: We are open to this role being a level I or II based on the selected candidate's education, experience, technical skills, and overall qualifications.
COMPENSATION RANGES: EI: $82k - $108k / EII: $92k - $115k
LOCATION: Golden, CO (on-site)
Target Hiring Range
Annual Salary: USD 82,000.00 - USD 115,000.00Actual compensation is commensurate with experience, skills and education.
