Rapid Responder / Driving Healthcare Assistant – Cavan
€16.50 per hour | Paid mileage | Weekly fuel card | Varied shift work
Are you a qualified Healthcare Assistant with a full driving licence who would enjoy a role with more variety, responsibility and flexibility?
Right at Home is recruiting a Rapid Responder / Driving Healthcare Assistant to support clients across the Cavan area.
This is not an ordinary care role. No two shifts are the same. You will travel between clients, provide essential care and step in where support is needed most. It is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Healthcare Assistant who enjoys being on the move, working independently and making a real difference in the local community.
You will use your own vehicle to travel between clients but will not be required to transport clients in your car.

Your role will include:
Providing personal care, companionship and practical support
Assisting with meals, medication prompting and light household duties
Travelling between clients throughout the Cavan area
Covering scheduled calls and providing additional support when required
Completing accurate care records
Reporting any concerns to the office team
What you will need:
QQI Level 5 Care Skills and Care of the Older Person, or an equivalent qualification
A full driving licence and access to your own car
Flexibility to work mornings, evenings and weekends
Previous experience working as a Healthcare Assistant
A reliable, caring and professional approach
Strong communication and organisational skills
