Job Description Summary:

RCM Operations Support Specialist
 
Reports to: RCM Operations Manager

About the Role
 
As an RCM Operations Support Specialist, you will directly fuel our mission by keeping workflows moving smoothly through the RCM cycle. You will own the rapid resolution of operational RCM tasks within JIRA, directly contributing to customer delight by maintaining fast turnaround times. This hands-on role gives you the opportunity to identify trends, suggest process improvements, and make an immediate impact on practice outcomes.
 
What You’ll Do
 
  • Resolve Daily Operational Tasks : Provide swift, accurate JIRA ticket resolution, including insurance corrections, balance/statement inquiries, and patient ledger reconciliations. Support the Operations team in managing AR and Appeal JIRA tickets, fulfill administrative requests (e.g., W9 inquiries), and re-route complex inquiries as needed.
  • Drive Administrative & Continuous Improvement Projects : Participate in key administrative initiatives supporting document management and operational workflows. Identify systemic trends, surface opportunities for efficiency, and suggest controllable system improvements to leadership.
What You Bring
 
Minimum Qualifications
 
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in any field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in US Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management AR (RCM).
  • Payer Knowledge: Proven experience handling both Federal and Commercial insurance payers within a provider setup.
  • Technical Skills:
     
    • Strong understanding of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding.
    • Deep familiarity with billing scrubbers, clearinghouses, and payer rejections.
    • Sound knowledge of major Accounts Receivable (AR) scenarios across multiple payers.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, multitasking, and communication skills, with a track record of capturing detailed call notes and collaborating effectively across teams.
Preferred Qualifications
 
  • 5+ years of specialized experience focused on Medicaid/Medicare AR recovery.
